Three Birthdays Right in a Row

April 2009 014

This is my niece Jenny. Her birthday was Saturday the 28th. She turned 7. I can’t believe that it’s been 7 years since we visited Jenny at the hospital where she was born on Thanksgiving Day. It seems like just yesterday. Jenny is smart as a whip, a very good girl, and beautiful too. I love you Miss Jen-Jen.

Yesterday, the 29th, was Michael’s birthday. He turned 36. I’ve known this man for over 14 years now and I’ve never had occasion to lose respect for him. I never get tired of being around him either. In fact, when I need to quiet my brain I just find Mike. He adds calmness and quiet to my life. Two qualities that I generally lack.

He also does nice things for me. Just the other day he set me up with a slick new program for my blogging. He did all the research, put everything on my computer and presented it to me one evening. He said he had heard me complaining about how buggy blogger is and knew there was a way that he could make things better for me. I truly love this man. Happy birthday babe!

This is my sister-in-law Laurie. It’s her birthday today, the 30th. She turns 35. She and I are the same age for six months every year. Laurie is creative, capable, and generous, a triple combination that all of our family benefits from. She is also a great mother and a very good wife to my brother Andrew.

I’ve known Laurie since high-school. We even had a class together once. We go way back, and I’m so glad that she is in our family. Laurie is a good person and I love her.

So happy birthday to these three beautiful people all born on consecutive days at the end of November. I love you all!

Aw, thanks, Jill. I love you, too. It's a loverly blog entry, aside from that picture of the girl in the green shirt. Oh well. Can't win them all.

Mike looks pretty darn cute in that picture. From what you've told me about Mike and from all the fancy trips you've taken by yourself, should I safely assumed that you are a very spoiled woman?

How sweet! What a nice Aunt you are - and would you believe it - it's actually been 7 years since you met Jenny at the hospital(Eric insisted I give you a hard time for getting her age wrong)! Jen-Jen and I don't mind one bit!

Love you Jill - you're the best!

You are always so thoughtful at remembering those you love. It was great to talk to last night. I want Mike to help set me up. Maybe then I might blog more.
