This bird was truly gigantic. It took three people to get it out of the pan. The kids were mesmerized.
One of my food assignments was mashed potatoes. I made enough for an army!! Can you say “leftovers.”
Our fancy table. My mom is a firm believer in paper products. Less dishes that way. There are very few things my mom hates more than cooking a big meal and cleaning up after it, so bless her heart for hosting Thanksgiving. Thanks mom and dad!
Here’s my plate before eating commenced. Everything a Thanksgiving meal should be and more. My favorite: mom’s delicious gravy. She bastes the turkey with apple cider and then makes the gravy from the drippings. It’s out of this world. Second favorite: My friends Kathy’s homemade cranberry relish. Those two things made the meal for me.
Jen-Jen and the Mary Mac.
Here is my unbelievably picky son holding the only thing he would eat. They were amazing rolls. Good thing mom made plenty.
Notice Jeff’s crutches in the background. He just had hip surgery last week. I think he was pretty miserable and in pain. Kudos to him for even showing up.
After dinner, a rousing game of Five Crowns. Not to brag, but I won the first round.
Mom’s become addicted to playing Solitaire on on Jeff’s I-phone. The boys liked it too. They sat and played with Grandma while Dad and I washed the pots and pans.
Here you can see that the Tryptophan has kicked in!
Hope you all had a happy Thanksgiving. I’m grateful for all of you!

That looks like a perfect Thanksgiving. Except why isn't Mike watching football? I'm very confused.
Happy Thanksgiving!! The meal looks so scrumptuous! You look great, too! Miss you.
Everything looks amazing and delicious. I'm with Cami, though. I so very confused about why Mike isn't watching football...has he had a check-up recently?
Cami and Karen, set your mind at ease. It was only a very short cat nap. He watched PLENTY of football!
Looks like some great times. There is something to be said of a simple table, not doing dishes for hours and even feeling like playing games afterwards. I think the food tastes just as good on paper plates. Way to go Janice!
Beautiful and delicious! I'm so glad you had a great time!
We loved seeing you guys! Thanks for coming up the canyon! Hey we had the same menu as you on Thursday! Yours looked very delicious. Tell Jonathan Marguerite is coming to Seattle for New Years!
