It's easy to see from the bad hairdos (me with my sausage roll bangs and Mike with that rim around his head) that we deserved each other, but despite the hair, that was the happiest day of my life. We're celebrating 13 years today. We've been married long enough that when I look at our wedding pictures I'm shocked by how young we were then.
I can say, with 100% certainty, that Mike is the best thing that ever happened to me. Sometimes when I stop to think about it, my heart feels like it's going to explode (in a good way). I'm lucky and blessed that after 3 kids, a dog, a mortgage, and 13 years of marriage, I can still feel that way. Thanks Mike, for being so incredibly easy to live with. You're a good man and I love you!
I think we've come a long way in the hair department too....thank goodness!

Happy Anniversary! It's one of the happiest days of my life too, because I gained such an awesome SIL.
The hair: just be glad the permed mullet was gone by then (or maybe it's time in the fashion cycle to bring that back).
All I know is that I was uber confused when you came into my room and told me (and Tasha) that you were engaged. I've not stopped smiling about it since! Way to be married!!

Oh, and just FYI...if you take Emily's advice and go to Disney on Ice...I can't guarantee that I'll like you for at least 16 hours. (that's the standard time it takes me to get my jealously in check!!)
Jill, I'm super glad you're in our family even though you make us talk about emotions and feelings and such. You've been a huge blessing in our lives, and I'm sure glad my sisters and I convinced Michael he must marry you (by showing him pictures of you while playing Just say you'll love me by Chicago).

I can't believe I talked to you on Monday and didn't say Happy Anniversary. I even interrupted Mike on his workout lunch break to sign some church stuff. You guys are awesome. Shawna and I were commenting on how impressed we are with both of you the more we get to know you. You are a perfect match, one that compliments each other so well. Thanks for making tonight so great with with that amazing DVD that your mom made. So many people were touched by it. By knowing your mom a little I can see why your so awesome.
