Saturday, Mike decided to take Mary Kate to the ski slopes. They were gone for hours and the boys and I got incredibly bored sitting at home. Then I remembered that I now have keys to the church.
The boys loaded up their new Angry Bird’s gym bags and we headed out.
Fortunately,Jeffrey had packed some music to listen to. The boys soon declared the gym sweltering hot so they stripped off a few layers. (Make yourself at home boys!)
We tried shooting some baskets….
You can see that the basketball wasn’t going all that well, so, inspired by the music, the boys ditched the balls for some impromptu interpretive dance….
Here is one more emotionally moving dance piece for your viewing pleasure (picking wedgies and fighting over recorders not excluded)…
Of course I went home and showed Mike the videos ASAP. I wanted him to see for himself just how deeply basketball has gotten under the boy’s skin.
He was so proud.
What do you guys think? Should we sign them up for basketball or dance this spring?

Best dance videos ever. Those twins are two of a kind.
Oh, my goodness. My day was just made! I can't wait to show these videos to my daughters to convince them that their brothers are not weird - they are just like other boys their age. We definitely need to have a dance party next time we get them together! :)
Wonderful, made me laugh! I think
GPa Hap had some of his basketball
boys take some ballet classes one year to help them be more coordinated.
But alas, we were too poor and Winnie and I could not take ballet lessons.
We do have a wonderful picture somewhere of Janine, Jalaine and Michele in their dance outfits.
But Brent's vote is BASKETBALL, he said he can still shoot baskets he just can't run anymore.
this is the best! i love these boys so much!
Dancing camp for sure!!
These boys are a never-ending ticket to pure entertainment! I especially love Jeffrey dancing and interpreting "and it's like the fog has lifted." I may have rewound that segment over and over. Also a shout out to Jonathan for the dramatic ending. I am inspired.
This definitely brought a smile to my face. We miss you guys!
I'm glad to see the Mike's genes so strongly manifest in your boys.
So many fantastic things happening here. I did really enjoy the grand, dramatic entrances they kept making through the double doors. Encore!
How have I not commented on this? Pure, undiluted joy, these videos. Can't wait to see you all!
