Photo by AngelaI’m hoping my blog doesn’t become a series of posts about dear friends who have passed away, but this week another dear friend has moved on to the next life.
Stacey’s situation was entirely different from Belinda’s. She has been bravely fighting lung cancer for over a year. She slipped peacefully away last Friday night. I feel relieved that her suffering is over now and she is at peace. My prayers, of course, are with her good husband and five beautiful children.
Belinda and Stacey have been close friends for over 15 years. Stacey’s husband does not believe that it’s coincidence that they left this life so close together. I tend to agree with him. Belinda and Stacey are certainly together again doing good work. They always did have an incredibly deep, spiritual connection; I’m sure that was no coincidence either.
I’m so blessed to have known Stacey. When I moved to Pleasant Grove many years ago, she was one of the first to be my friend. She moved away only a few years later, but I was so happy when she and her family eventually moved back to Utah. Even though she wasn’t here long before she passed away, our reconnection had a profound effect on me. She handled her illness with faith, strength and grace. She was kind and strong to the end. She was a wonderful example in every way. I will always be thankful to her for that.
Knowing that I will be able to reunite with these two amazing friends again makes the prospect going to heaven someday even brighter.

Oh gosh, I can't take anymore. Please ask your friends to stop dying. My sincerest condolences - she sounds like she was a wonderful person!
I can't imagine what you must be going through, I think of you often and wish I could be there for you.
Too much of this kind of thing going on. I'm so sorry about Stacey, Jill.
You're building up a great support team on the other side. Even though death may be expected, it's still tough. I am sorry.
I'm so sorry, Jill! You've had a rough winter.
True friends are gifts from God!
