Final Installment: People
I love visiting Manhattan and soaking in all it has to offer, but the number one reason I love to visit there is because it’s home to some of my favorite people on the planet. Stephen, Emilie, Marc, John and Xavier; they made the trip for me. I love these people; they’re fun, entertaining, interesting, gracious, generous, and so,so good to me. They’re family. Love, love them.

I was so happy to see Meredith and Jordan at Meredith’s birthday dinner too. Very glad I happened to be in town for that. Love you two!

I love that you can see Stephen in the mirror behind Emilie and John. This photo was taken at John Darien’s shop in the West Village. I got me some great decoupage pieces at his annual sale.

Favorite activities with my peeps:
-Visiting Stephen and Emilie’s places of employment, seeing how they roll there, meeting some of their fun colleagues.
-Meeting John and shopping at his fabulous store.
-Talking with Marc in Central Park over a picnic lunch.
-Dinner, followed by a rousing card game at the Joly’s. Good laughs to last me a long while.
-Talking with Emilie late into the night.
-The MOMA with my guide Marc.
-Dinner at Emilie’s, prepared by Stephen, enjoyed by everyone.
-Walking the streets of NYC with some of my favorite people.
-Evening stroll along the Highline with some of my favorite people.
-Taxi rides chatting with Xavier while Emilie and Marc are zonked out between us.
-Celebrating Meredith’s birthday over a leisurely dinner. More good laughs to last me a long while. (And a new story to read)
-Lunch at Stephen’s apartment.
-Enjoying the company of family and friends. My favorite!
-And last but not least, coming home to my husband, my kids, and my puppy. It’s always good to come home!
It was a great trip, many perfect memories made that I can keep for ever. Thanks Stephen, Emilie, Xavier, Marc, John, Meredith and Jordan! Love you all! Thanks Michael for the best birthday gift ever and for taking care of things at home so I could have this experience. I love you most.

I love all these people too! I got little pangs reading all these installments. I really wish I could have been there with you (please lets promise to go together to nyc someday). Love it, oh and has anyone told you how good you look?
