I haven’t been blogging as frequently as usual and there is good reason for that. I’ve been a little preoccupied of late with a few home improvement projects. I’ve discovered that I’m very much like my mother; if I’m on a project I can’t think about anything else until the project is complete. So maybe ‘preoccupied’ might be too mild a word to describe my state of being these past few weeks, maybe ‘obsessed’ would be more appropriately descriptive. Especially when chaos (like in the above photo) is inherent in the project I feel extra pressure to reach the finish line. I think my family might be ready to kill me and my obsessions.
I can see the light at the end of the tunnel though, and I’m feeling very satisfied with the results. Pictures will follow upon project completion.

I'm the same way - even when logic tells me there is no real hurry - just can't sleep until the project is finished. If only I felt that way about my PhD...

At any rate,it looks like a huge project, and I am amazed you are taking that up while still living in the house. You are a woman not to be reckon with.

How exciting. It's fun to change things up. Even though it is a lot of work up front, it will be worth it. Can't wait to see it.
