I just finished ‘Unbroken’ by Laura Hillenbrand tonight, my first completed read on my new Kindle.
There is a reason this book was the #1 best seller of 2011. The story is incredible! I dare say even life changing. I think it should be required reading for everyone.
Warning: This book is difficult to read in parts, due to the horrific circumstances the main character and others were forced to endure. But…talk about a powerful testament to the resilience of the human spirit, and the reality of the soul saving intervention of a loving God in the lives of men and women. Incredible!
Warning: This book is really hard to put down so make sure you have some time on your hands.
“Unbroken'” is a true story, and as complete and well written as can be. Highly recommended!

Thanks to your recommendation, I just requested it from the library. There are 520 holds on 167 copies. It might be a while. :)
Wow, I've never even heard of this book. I must say that your "warnings" are what has made me want to get on the hold list for this one immediately.
Heck with waiting for the library, if its as good as you say it is(anything you suggest is wonderful), it is worth buying. Thanks for the recommendation, I love a good life changing true story.

I agree. This is an outstanding and inspiring book. It is an incredible story and Hillenbrand tells it in a most engaging way.
