Happy Birthday Karen!

IMG_0120

This is my beautiful sister-in-law Karen and today is her birthday. Happy Birthday Karen! (I hope she won’t mind that I shop lifted this picture right from her blog, but I love it!)

The best thing about Karen is that she is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. I don’t know if it was my mother-in-law who started calling her sunshine, or if it’s just me that thinks this should be her name, but that’s what she reminds me of…sunshine. Karen is in the business of making people happy, and she’s very good at.

Mike has always given Karen a hard time, because when she was a little girl she would sing…constantly. He still gives her a hard time about this every once in awhile, but I always tell him to back off!  She’s a happy person, and it’s fitting that she always sang. I think she should keep it up. (I know Mike secretly enjoyed her singing too, he just won’t admit it).

Karen was in junior high when I married into the family. My favorite thing about her back then, was that no matter what time of day it was or even if she was wearing just pajama pants and a T-shirt, she always had on high heels and lip stick and her hair always looked fabulous.

Now a days Karen is much more laid back about her shoes, lipstick and hair, but she is still a dazzler, and one of the kindest people I know. She is a wonderful wife and mother, a fabulous aunt and sister-in-law, and at our house we love us some Karen!

Awwww...Happy Birthday Karen! I still remember the day I realized how cool you were. It was at a family reunion. The one at Beaver Mountain.

I remember reading the scrapbook page you made for Grandma Dickey. It was so funny. I thought, "This girl has spunk!" Ever since then, you've been one of my favorites.

Ah, thanks so much Jill! This is way too nice. I don't think Zack would let the word "sunshine" anywhere near his description of me this morning...but come on, mornings are rough.

Love you so much. Thanks for thinking of me today.

Happy birthday to my favorite little sister ever. She was my favorite to tell jokes to because she would laugh so hard that she would...laugh harder. Tee hee.
