Tent Arapaho

summer camp 002

"Congratulations. In the history of this camp, that was the most infamous, the most disgusting, the most revolting display of hooliganism we have ever had." – Miss Inch- the short, buxom camp director from Parent Trap

There probably won’t be much hooliganism going on, but Mary Kate and her best friend Elizabeth left for Summer Science camp this morning. They will be gone all week. I’m sure they won’t be finding their long lost twins, but they were very giddy with excitement this morning as we loaded their gear into the van.

I personally feel like I’m too young to have a daughter who is old enough to go off to summer camp. I’m going to miss her.

AHHH! How fun! I would have loved something like that as a kid. How would July 12-15 be for your darling's swimming lessons? Are you wanting all 3 to take or just the boys? I have 3 spots from 11:00-12:00 open for you. Let me know! (I can't access ASD's program to get your phone number... so blog communication it is! You can call me-735-5608 anytime!)

I want to go to science adventure camp. Are you kidding me?! She'll love it and with here little bestie, perfect.

Also, the Parent Trap is great. The old one. My boys aren't allowed to know that Lindsey Lohan exists. I just feel like that will bring bad karma to their lives.

Amazing how fast they are growing up - but she is still so young to be gone for a week... Jade will go to YW camp this year, her first. How time flies.

Meg just had her "outdoor school" camp last month. (They have one as part of the 5th grade curriculum.) She had a great time. I think we should arrange a family reunion at one of those camps sometime. Wait, Grandpa and Grandma Dave organize those all the time, huh? We just need to make it West more often to attend! love you and hope MK had a great time!
