18 Years

Picture taken at our ward Valentine’s Dance -2014

Normally I would post a picture of just Mike and I for this annual anniversary post, but this time I’m posting one of the whole family. Yes, it started out with just the two of us 18 years ago, but now we are five (six, if you count the dog).

As we were driving the family to church on Sunday (our official anniversary), Mike asked me if this was how I imagined my life would be after 18 years of marriage. The answer to that question is, yes!

Family life is hard work, a huge learning experience and has it’s definite highs and lows, but this is what I choose for my life and this is what I love. We’ve come far, Mike and I, and who can know what will be ahead, but I’m glad to have a good man as my partner in all of this.

Happy 18th anniversary, Michael. I love you!

And just for fun…

In a couple of years he is totally going to kill me for posting this picture, but I can’t help myself!

It was fun sharing your anniversary with all of you. Next time give me some warning and I'll fix you a nice meal instead of scrounging whatever is available in the fridge.

If only we could go back and re-live the whole thing all over again... I know, wishful thinking.

I love that family picture Jill! Your kids are growing up, but you and Mike sure seem young still. 18 years?! Awesome!!
